My dog periodically shakes his pack like he does when he is trying to shake water from his coat. Is this normal or is there a pack adjustment I should make? It kind of puts a damper on a stalk and makes for a sadly empty larder.

Is it loose? Should be snug both bottom of chest and brisket

Try a staple gun.

I customize the packs my dogs wear. Currently using eze dog packs. After a little bit of seamstress stuff they work great. Try to set it up more like a pack horse deal. My dogs are 150 lbs so it works.
pm a email address and ill send you some pics

What were trying to do know is actually mount the bags on a dog sweater that hugs the dog better. Been hard for us cause my dogs are big and most of the warm coats you buy don't fit my dogs.

I do think that a lightweight x frame would work. Great idea

My new boy is now almost 2 so im starting him on pack training now. He like his pack. Its his. haven't put any weight in it yet just getting him used to wearing it. Next year he becomes another part of the team.

Has anyone tried the Ruffwear pack? My mutts are almost 2yrs now and I've been getting them used to hiking the steep stuff over the summer so time to start with the pack. It looks pretty good as it has removable bags and nicely thought out extras like compression straps.
