Degreasing Elk Skull after Maceration

I macerated my elk skull now it is clean of flesh and i have it soaking in a rubbermaid bin with borax to degrease it. is this correct how long should i leave it to degrease?

Borax isn't a degreaser. Use Dawn and if you can put an aquarium heater in to keep the water warm to draw
Out the grease.
Freshen the water and soap every few days until no more grease shows in your water

got a heater in it i will change out the borax for dawn. how long does it usually take?

depends on the skull, just wait for it to stop bleeding grease or it will yellow on you later
