I am going to be going to the Logan lake area on a deer trip in a couple of weeks. I am curious to hear from others on what they think of the region? What is the white tail population like in the area ?
I expect it to be fairly busy with hunters and worse on weekends.

As you suspect, very busy. Used to be very good. Not much coming out for quality animals any more, as few are making it to ages where they would be sporting any sort of head gear. A low to moderate amount of whitetail, with some better pockets if you know where and how to look. With the lowish densities, amount of road traffic and the whitie doe season, I wouldn't hold my breath on finding one from the road, but they're there.

Either way, have fun and good luck.

3-18, 3-19 is no area, its a country... If every one that hunts there asked your question, and had it answered, there would probably be.....

You want answers? Go there, pound the fsr's, wear out your boots, and figure it out for yourself... Welcome to (it takes up to 3 years) club...

Don't mean to be harsh but....

I hunted there for one day in november when I was visiting a friend. drove some roads to explore and there were quite a few road hunters so i parked and hiked just to get a ways off the road. I rattled in two white tails and a bull moose. was a very cool hunt. i did not see any mule deer that day but i know there are plenty around. it's nice country. do what i did. drive until you see a promising looking hill/mountain, and go climb it and hunker down! good luck
