Elk Second Rut - is it over?

Heading out to 4-03 tomorrow with my son wondering whether the second rut will be over by now or is it worth while to use estrus sticks/scent?

Found most mature bulls leave the cows around oct 25 or so. After that just spikers with the cows.

saw 7 bulls today only 2 were with cows in 4-22. Last night 2 bulls with 30 cows so there is still some activity didn't here any bugling.

Maybe the bugling bulls may just be hanging in a meat cooler, the quiet ones just might be going around and spreading there sperm ....just saying ....

It ain't over till the season closes. Had a bull screaming back in nov once, just playing around. He was with a pile of cows and some mad!
