I'd start with somewhere that has a GOS for spike-fork moose.

You should start by telling us where you're going more or less.

jeeesus, go hunting people, I am all for helping people and I appreciate it when people do the same, but seriously you have a group of guys going out to search for a unicorn and you want somebody to tell you where to start? how about look at a map, google earth, and get a general idea before you ask for a spot to start

We always see lots of spike forks in 3-21. Not many guys either. Good luck on your hunt!

Comsiderimg the abundance of game and fact the entire region is two wheel drive accessible, I'm surprised how quiet the place is.

You can scratch region 5 off the decision list!

So you shoot one every time your there? I've been known to hunt in 7-23 a little bit, haven't seen the spike forks you are referring too? I might not be a very good moose hunter though!! Moosinaround

Start from home. Go outward from there til you find one.

Once you do, you'll know where they are.

I would look at the moose leh odds
an area with tough odds probably has good moose hunting that's why people apply there

I've got a moose hunt in 5-06 coming up in 3 days and with all the warnings about Region 5 I'm getting concerned. I'll be sure to report back if I see any....
