I went to Boston Bar for bear this weekend. To my surprise, I saw a cougar killed a buck and tried to drag the deer uphill. Take care when hunting around Boston Bar!

A few years ago when I was a little crazy I was up Kayaking Scuzzy Creek with buds and we saw a pair cougars together it was about this time of year when the creek levels are high, maybe a little earlier. I think there are good numbers of cats out that way, Higher than average anyway.

I have seen cat tracks in the snow on the Lower Koieek (Sp?) road which is the next drainage north of the Nahatlatch.

I hunt the Boston Bar area quite a bit. I've never seen one myself but several members of my party have seen them. Would be nice to see one though.

I don't think its necessary to get worked up over such things. Bears, cougars, wolves, lots of things in the bush that can do damage, just part of the experience.
