Had a successful morning going on my first ever goose hunt. 2 on my right are mine.

Looks like a old CIL single shot, got one as my first shot gun a little while ago. (45 years ago, for $25). Looks like yours shoots good enough, good on you.

That one is the sister to the CIL 402 its the Remington 812 i have both in 12ga. Sadly only the rem works for now. But i am not complaing the rem has gotten me some grouse and now some goose.

Goose turned out good. Cooked it in slow cooker like pulled pork with bbq sause, brown sugar, onions, red peppers and pineapple. Did not pull apart but wife sliced the breasts thinly and mixed the meat back into the sauce which she had thickened. And we put it on onion cheese buns mmmmm.

nice job, congrats! looks like you got a good spot to hunt migratory game birds..wish we had that in my area..how much meat you get from those??

I think around ten lbs of breast meat from both the birds combined.
