Ok,

I'll settle for anyone that's been in the area and knows the current weather / road conditions

If no one has PM'd you. You can see conditions using DriveBC roadcams between Ft St John and Ft Nelson.

Weather has been warm and dry the last couple weeks, but up here that doesn't mean anything. Conditions change over night. Prepare for snow and mud is always good advice. If it doesn't happen that's a bonus

I've been glued to the weather forecast and I'll definitely have chains and 4WD.

was hoping someone would have popped their early bison draw on day 1 and reported that there were bison all over the place!

anyone? Bison down?

Where they are today is not where they'll be in a week. The hunting pressure makes the herds move daily from location to location depending on the amount of pressure. Been there hunting them 5 separate times, they have there locations they like when not pressured but if there pushed they move deeper and further away. Be prepared for anything to be possible.

Shot one lone bull in the thick bush coming to a natural mineral lick, one bull on a valley bottom with 2 other younger bulls resting behind some brush, yet another as it ran from a clearing into the timber high on the side of a mountain with one other animal with him and one from a herd of over 150 bison, including several massive monster bulls and a couple dozen good eatin 3 to 4 yr olds and the rest cows and calves. Video of the last kill is on the site here somewhere.

Has anyone had any luck on the Nov 1st - 15th 7:57 A hunt? My buddies just got back with an empty truck after spending November 1st to the 10th on the Halfway River. Saw nothing but a lot of wolf track, and hunters with the same story?
Weird...

Badassbrad - did they pay and go through the Blueberry ranch, going that way through to the upper halfway valley? Have my hunt for 7-57A for November 15th-30th....

I was up there a week ago went through the ranch stayed 10 km past the ranch and got a bull about 50 km past where we camped. If your heading up and not seeing any sign Buffalo close to the ranch head out further they are there just good at playing hide and seek

not sure what zone my dad and partners were in , i believe north of pink mtn . but they had a total of 4 bison for the taking and they came back with zero. now these guys don't get around very easily but still. 2 weeks in. they did end up seeing a small herd but they were busted before they could get close

If someone was camping 10 Km's past the ranch, how is it possible to shoot a Bison 50 KM's past where they were camped when there is a vehicle restriction. We were restricted to the ATV closure at Sulfur Creek and as far as I knew you are NOT allowed to take motorized vehicles past that point. Are there different rules out that were sent in the Bison packages this year. My draw was a few years ago.

I was wondering the same thing. The ATV closure is still in effect. We were there in the last 2 weeks of October and saw lots of ATV tracks beyond the start of the restriction.

My 13 year old granddaughter shot a big bull up there in October. Don't know how to post a pic or I would.

I was up there in 2003 and 2006 and I slammed on both years and then went up in 2008 with my fatherinlaw for his tag. After 5 days finally he got one. That was a tough hunt compared to the others. A co-worker of mine was up 2 weeks ago and they came home with 2 tags not filled
when did you hunt it?

Hi 40incher, your neighbour, the guys from Mackenzie, were almost as excited as your granddaughter to see that bull! Two other single animals were seen and shot that 3rd week of October. We didn't see any live animals and I'm very curious about how many bison were seen/killed after we left. I have 2 buddies currently hunting Zone B but no results yet.
