Core without firearms license?

I have a friend who wants to come with us this weekend but he never got his photo done in time to send in for his unrestricted firearms license. He has BC Resident hunter number and a hunting license, mule tag.

Is it ok for him to join us if he doesn't carry a rifle?

As I read the regs, he can carry one of your rifles as long as he is loosely under your control. Google 'lending a rifle, Canada'.

If he doesn't want a gun at all, he can definitely go with you.

Though, for the record, I'm not at all convinced you are really a hunter;-)

Uh, why would he have a tag at all if he isn't planning to shoot anything? Just supporting conservation?

sorry, I got the answer from another so I deleted the question. The answer I was given was that he cant be on the hunt without a hunting license and No, he doesn't need to buy a goat tag as this region is only open for goat by LEH only.
