My two boys 13 and 11 have mule deer doe draws in 5-2. Last year we hunted around Mcleese lake and were successful. This year we thought we would try around 100 mile House. Looking for good suggestions on where to camp with a small trailer(I was thinking maybe Valentine Lake as I hunted there many years ago) and any other friendly advice on where you would go. Thanks in advance

Whale lake is a nice spot to camp, won't be as busy as Valentine lake, it's 20mins past Valentine.

Valentine has excellent fishing this time of year... just the thing to do once your deer is on the meat pole... We will be there this Thursday onward, providing there is a spot...

A lot of wolve sign around greeny lake area, seems to be getting worse evey year. Whale lake area has been productive and less people.

Just in 100 mile house last weekend with my boys; same anterless draw. Not sure where you can camp, but mule deer does and fawns live right beside the landfill, just west of town by a few kms. The deer cross from the north side of the forestry road towards the saw mill in the early evening, within a hour of dark. Harvested one from that area at 1300 hours; was out looking for a buck that night and saw 7 animals, no bucks; could have taken any one of these if we had had another LEH. 20-75 yard shots. Try there, but make sure your boys don't shoot directly at the mill. That, and the LEFT fork of the 9-hundred roads off of the main (11--hundred road) is supposed to be good for mule deer I am told. Good luck hunting.
