Hello
My buddy has a goat draw for this area i dont know the zone i forgot to ask,he asked me to go along with him on the hunt and i was wondering what the odds of seeing any deer or finding a bull moose with my bow would be , we are thinking of heading up there the week of Nov 14.
thanks for your time

Where is his goat draw for? 6-9 is huge and broken into numerous sub units for goats

It's between New Hazleton and Terrace I think it's area 6-09 J ,

If it's zone J don't bother looking for deer or moose. That's a small area and limited game other than goats. Better chance if he had zone B.

Ya the high country on the west end of 6-09 is goat and bear country and the bears will be sleeping. Always the chance of seeing a moose, best have a tag

It's goat hunting so expect the worst for weather (rain and/or wet snow), frozen steep terrain, slide alder, devils club, etc. It's not the worst I've experienced but it's always a challenge. It all depends where you find the chosen goat! Some goats will be unachievable.
