Well it seems the rumours are true. 6 point Elk will Open Sept 25 in 8-15.......I can't wait...Open Elk five minutes from my door.

If you check the new LEH it shows a LEH for three points from Sept 10 to Sept 25. I am told the open season is from Sept 25 to OCT 20. It looks good so far.

Hi Mate

I've booked off the whole month of September this year - the wife and kids might not see much of me.

I would love to chase some elk - I have been scoping out some local spots for bear and deer - and might drive north for a donkey - but I'd LOVE to try stalking the elk this year. I'll need to track down our friend from Portugal. If we're lucky and drop a beast, you and I can carry a shoulder each and he can pack out the rest.

When are they rutting there - is September 25th prime time? (book me in for the week)
