Hunting Near Lillooet, elevation advice?

I'm going to Lillooet to spend some time with a friend this upcoming weekend and thought I'd do a little hunting while I was there. Anybody know what elevation the animals are at this time of year. Should I be looking in the valley, at the tops of the mountains or somewhere in between?
