Late elk

Hey everyone, hope all the hunting season is going well for everyone, I gotta say, checking out all the pics keeps the blood pumping.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on elk hunting in the later season? I went opening archery and had some real good luck and some real bad luck (why it's called hunting not killing right.... More on that later)

I was planning on going this weekend but due to an unforeseen circumstance my trip is being pushed to the weekend of the 10th October or even the following weekend. Hunting in the EK in the Cranbrook area. Any thoughts? Tips?

I find that the elk up hear are getting much latter in the year when the real rut starts the rut great middle of Sept I have found that the hot time now for the rut is the last week of Sept into the first week of Oct my thoughts on why this is happening is because its to do with the climate changing.
