McGregor River FSR

I see they are limiting access from the McGregor River bridge to ATV, and sleds,,,,does anyone know if the area that lies beyond the bridge is heavily hunted? I was looking at it on Google Earth and there appears to be a lot of little roads and large cutblocks and some access back into the mountains,,,looks like good turf for spring grizzly,,,any thoughts

Area is very very thick. Most roads overgrown or atv only. It is hunted but I think success rates are low. Would be great spring grizz but need a quad with tracks as the snow stays a long time. Spotting grizz on slides would mean a nasty snowshoe trip through the jungle to get there.

I guess the rock quarry and the outfitter up there will now have no road in or maybe it will just be gated for their access??

They are blocking the bridge over the McGregor, and leaving it open enough for sleds and quads so I assume those concrete blocks with a narrow passage or somthin like that

there are 2 bridges over the McGregor, one on the North Fraser service road and one on the Pass lake road, I think the road that is blocked off is called the Gleasen. We were up in that country about a month ago, the Pass lake road bridge was still open then with regular car/truck traffic. The pass lake road was graded up to the Sandy forest service road, (active logging) about 2k from the bridge over the Mcgregor. As for the snow for spring bear, that is a year to year thing, in 2004 we were sleding up the torpy,same area, 30 k on the pass second weekend of June,
