Just off the grapevine...................rumour.......Somebody just brought in to Barry Kilback's taxi shop a local blackie that greened scored @ 23":o !!!
Working on pics.

If anyone knows him or lives near by please verify.

Defintely a candidate for a beetle cleaning. Skulls definitely seen to shrink.

well Ray.(Mainland hunter) from Heads above the rest is doing a full rug for him so it was done with beetles...have not seen the skull yet myself but I can't wait to see that rug........nice 7.5ft bear I think the B&C scorer said it made #30 in the BC book or something like that.

Hi guys
I emailed Barry this morning. He tells me that the Bear is a real hog 7ft+
and way up there in the skull but he doesn't think it will go quite 23 but
a very nice Bear for this part of the country. Congrats. to the hunter that took it. Well done. Hopfully they will post the story and the pictures?

I got another confirmation of the rumour.........the bear scored 13"...........was............. purple..................... no one from this site shot it.......and it was shot in the Charlottes:roll: .


We may have to be patient for pics............but we should definitely get to see them8-) .

BTW-Grizz trip is cancelled for this weekend. One of the guys checked it out on the way home today and said there's still 4' of snow where we camped last May long and 6-7' where we were hunting:shock: . There is "some" green in the valley bottom but he also saw a tonne of guys getting set up to hunt. He estimates it's at least 3 weeks behind normal and he's in the snowpack study business.
