Had a few skeens drying on newspaper after over night soak in pro cure. Anyone had this happen ? Should I be rushing him to the vet for poison control?
Read conflicting things on intraweb.

It's better to have him looked at if your not sure. All I really know is to expect some nasty farts in the days to come

I once had alittle black lab... About 55# and she ate about 3 gallons of roe that was curing in a 5 gallon pail... Licked it clean... Didn't feel too good the next day but she was fine the next day.

Just use it on your next fishing trip. But do not lick your fingers.

Your dog isn't a lab by any chance, is it?

Thanks for all the feedback folks. Dog seems fine. He's not too happy as I've got him in an extended timeout for eating my bait. That was supposed to go in the vedder today in search of a spring.

I once had a dog come up to me when I was bar fishing and eat a pre tie I had sitting on my rod holder. Swallowed the whole thing and hanging from his mouth was my spinning glow. The owner of the dog came up and tried to pull the bait/hook out and got it caught inside the dogs throat. The dog never yelped once, and the poor owner was cursing up and down about how the dog has cost him nothing but money. I figured I would get smacked if I asked him for my lucky spinning glow back.

My dog, the one in Avatar, ate about 5lbs. of deer jerky cured with Morton's tender quick. He was fine except for the sore butt he had after I gave him a swift boot to his behind. The only time I ever physically punished him. I sure was mad though. He's in the Happy Hunting grounds now. and I sure miss him.

If you are a dog owner then you have probably had that thought once or twice especially if you own a chithead.
