My Elk Hunt Continues For Mr Big..

I just got home from a brutal 5 day elk solo hunt saw lots of WT bucks but not the ones I want ,,I also let two 6 point bull elk walk one was last night at 8.10pm out at 200 yards,,the other was daybreak on the 13th I called this 6 point bull in in a blind I built earlier yesterday day he was not the one I was looking for so I let him walk for others that might get a chance at filling there freezers here is one of my call ins from last nights I shot him with the video camera better then nothing ,,like I said before I have lots of meat in my freezer from last year so I can be selective hunter,,I want a big rack RME 340+bull or I won't shoot it,, LOL

LOL Mike no trophy hunter only a selective hunter I can say this after shooting 36 bull elk in the 48 years of hunting them I can be selective LOL and by the way big congrats on getting you 6 point bull ,,well done Mike....

I like your saying at the bottom of your box ,,I like,,,to me shooting this bull elk with the camera is as good as shooting the bull with a rifle I have this bull on video this means a lot to me he could had been dead on the ground last night but he lives to see another day....

I was hoping ( for my sake ), that the action so far has been slow.....seems not to be the case.
Are the Bulls being very vocal, or are they coming silent.???
Definitely need some Elk in the freezer this year.
Hope you find that "Selective" 340+....it can happen.

The two call ins where with my hipper hot lips cow in heat caller and yes the bulls are starting to bugle I had about 8 different bulls bugling back to me in different areas,,good luck with your elk hunt hope to see a few bull pictures of the one you put down..

Yes you are correct I have never seen so many hunter in my area ever ,,watch out for them sow grizzlies there out there waiting for us hunters catch us when we don't expect it be aware of your surrounding at all times,,just saying....

It's all about the chase sounds like you are having a blast bulls bugling and coming to call. Now you get to enjoy it even more. I'm sure you will be rewarded in the end. Have fun and play safe. I'm heading out that way next weekend hopefully they are still screamin when I get there

Still no Mr big bull elk for this trooper but I am having lots of fun chasing bulls around I have passed up so many WT bucks that I have lost count on how many I have passed up waiting to better my best one on my wall,,LOL..

I had some elk action last week but the elk are still not into it I will be back in my hunting area looking for my dream bull latter today see what unfolds??.

Still looking for a dream elk no luck so far I will be headed back into my hunting area in a few hours from now looking and hoping I find the elk I am looking for my elk hunt for 2015 will come to an end in four days from now.

The reason being is my friend got a LEH draw for Roosevelt elk on Vancouver island we will be headed down to the island next week to try to get his dream elk of a lifetime there is a person that has been scouting for Roosevelts for the last two months hot to mention any names. ...

Well I did not find the bull elk I wanted so there are a few bulls that I could had taken this year if I needed the meat ,,my freezer is full of elk and WT meat from last year and getting some Roosevelt elk meat from my friend gives me more then enough till next fall 2016.

Leaving to head to the island with my friend for his Roosevelt hunt means more to me helping him get his dream bull then that of me trying to get Mr big for the remainder of the the time I could had spent pursuing my dream bull there will be a next year and yes I will try for my dream bull down in the WK for bow and rifle season in the WK I have a better chance getting the bull of my dreams then that from the EK..

I called all my bulls in this year using a triple reed diaphragm and a Primos converter..
