lots of great areas to hunt, good access to most of it. What time is your LEH for? The moose will be up high.
We go every year for the Nov 1-15 opening.

We plan on going sept 18-26 as we have to go threw barkerville we will make camp at ghost lake hunt from there. Last time (years ago) we camped at sisters caribou lake. Then the advise and hospitality srupp gave us was valuable to our successful hunt we still thank you

Road down from Barkeville has been greatly improved over the last 4 years, so no issues there. You should have a nice quiet hunt as not many public will be in there now. It was -1 in Williams Lake yesterday, so I suspect you will be getting close to snow back there.

The grizzlys are down from the higher ground early. Too dry up there. Last year played hide and seek with 20 black bears. This year not many black bears but 6 grizzlys sighted 2 sows with 2 cubs each and a 7th's tracks found 2 miles further away. Be bear aware!!

WHAT!?!?!? I sure am glad I checked on here. Can anyone give me a link to information regarding the closure of the bridge? How would a person know this? This is not good. It's an extra 200+ kilometers going the northern route? Man.

It really depends on how many guys are in there. It can be a gong show with this September draw because 5-15c and 5-15b can be hunted while camped at Ghost Lake. That's over 80 authorizations right there. There is camping in 5-15C just off the road before Ghost Lake road. There are also a couple of camp sites along the Matthew River off of the Ghost Lake Road and a couple more right at Ghost Lake. We have had some success catching fish in the river. There is no real boat ramp to the lake so you have to carry it in, but the path is decent. I haven't fished the lake. All in all the camp sites are pretty good, but the ones by the river can easily flood. I found out the hard way. It's a good area. I will be up there next Wednesday with 3 others and another of my buddies will be up with his dad this weekend. When are you heading up?
