Elaho River Valley closed to the public

The Elaho River Valley is closed to the public due to extreme rock and tree fall hazard caused by this summer's massive forest fire. The gate at 32 km will be locked until further notice. The scope of the hazard prevents any action until a reassessment can be performed next spring. We are hopeful that a winter and spring thaw has a chance to dislodge much of the loose material and safe passage will once again be possible.

In a few years it should be amazing as long as there weren't too many bear roasts ( I mean roast bears) up their this summer.
