hi everyone,
had a wonderful start to hunting season
been following a herd of bucks for awhile now
finally had the chance - hiding behind a tree for 45 minutes waiting for this big boy to come by!
tagged him at 20 yards
5 x 5 meaty body - biggest backstraps and tenderloins ive ever seen and also huge pile of german smoked sausage is coming up!

i was surprised that he trotted about 100 yards until collapsing..

his buddies in the herd followed him and hung around for awhile... he was one of the biggest ones, if not the biggest in the herd...... honoring a fallen comrade if you will..
