Youth hunter question

My son is 16 has his core and his own liscence and tags now. He's still considered an youth and able to hunter with a rifle during bow season correct?

Correct , But if I am not mistaken deer are the only big game open to youth during the archery season.

My Grandson is also 16, and here in 3-27 the Youth Hunt and the Archery Hunt are the same 10 days. So yes, as long as there's a Youth Hunting season during Bow season, he's good to go! And Good Luck out there!

As M. Dean said above, the two do coincide as far as dates go. Don't confuse a "youth season" with a "bow season" though. The regs have to have a youth season for the MU you intend to hunt. Best of luck to your son.
