Sorry for this silly question(I think) since sheep have horns do I cut the antlered section on my tag for a ram?

I've never tagged a bear or cat either and it seems obvious you wouldn't clip either antlerless/antlered..but you never know until you know

Read the back of the tag. I believe it says something like "for moose, elk or deer clip out if the animal is antlered or antlerless"

Which makes sense as those are the only animals that have antlers. If it had notches for penis or vagina then you would clip those for sheep goats bears and cougars.
All other species you leave alone.

Got lucky and caught a conservation officer in Victoria 10 minutes ago, his instructions were to not cut the tag antlered or antlerless.

I was told the exact opposite by a conservation officer after I clipped antlered for a Billy.

It says it right in the back of the tag..Whether a DEER, ELK, or MOOSE is antlered or antlerless....otherwise don't clip either....had a CO make fun of my buddy for his"antlerless" black bear.
