I would say a safe range for a Northern BC/Yukon mature (read: large but realistic) bull moose will be 550-750lbs boned out. A friend of mine got a decent bull last year and had about 575lbs of meat without going after the ribs.

I'm not sure I believe the hype about these 1,600lbs Moose that yield 900+lbs of meat that some people on Alaska outdoors are claiming.

De-boned, a good bull would go 500 lbs.

last year we got about 650 lbs altogether from 2 completely deboned animals one was a 2 year old bull and the other was a 3 year old bull
