Jaffary Hunting With Fire

Hoping some of the Cranbrook locals have an update on the Caven/Linklater area hunting conditions with the big fire that is out that way.

I normally camp and hunt up at Goldcreek FS area.

Any information would be appreciated as I am leaving tomorrow and just found out about the fire.

AND - does anyone have a suggestion for an alternate destination around Cranbrook? Keeping in mind its a "family" hunt with three kids (7-13), wife, etc. Just looking for general areas with easy kid access and fun camping with some creek fishing.

Teepee caven and all that southern area is closed due to the fire I heard on the radio today
