So with wcb denying physio..denying corrolation of hip to both ruined knees, denying chronic pain, denying pain management clinic, even denying loss of wages..so we are on our own..
I was trying to be innovative and was trying to adapt a camera tripod to make a tall shooting system..Susan was out..
When Susan came home she informed me she was giving me my Christmas present early..

She brought in the new Primos gen 2 trigger sticks! With a real picture of Jim Shockey on the carton..that he trusts his life..yada yada yada.
No discussion..Susan was just observant and on the same page as my needs..
The quality is noticable..and should help on any shot...like a 348 yard shot on a 400 point bull elk.
Truly depressed with wcb and the need for another 4 court cases..
But how well Susan knows me....
Merry christmas to me...la lala...la la

It pisses me off when these big corps fight so hard to not pay someone that legitimately deserves the insurance they payed into their entire working career... And yet have no problem handing rediculous amounts of money over to others that are clearly milking the system.

You're WCB saga sucks. They were good to me on job related hearing loss. No questions asked. Claim approved and hearing aids paid for. Should all be that easy when its so obvious. Gald to see Santa found you and those Primos sticks look like a good piece of kit to have along.

I feel your pain.
I've been off for almost 2 years now.
A torn up shoulder, 3 operations later, plus 2 more operation due to infection after the 3rd surgery.( torn off biceps tendon, ac joint resection, and an sc joint dislocation that they don't want to touch)
In a nut shell, I have free floating collar bone....not good!
Low back, sciatic pain and a torn labrum, all on the right side.
I haven't tried WCB yet...due to the fact the 1st surgeon retired on me, who would of been my best bet to say my shoulder was work related.
And the back and leg packed it in right after the shoulder started to go downhill.
And it wasn't the WCB who denied me....the Pain Clinic denied me, even after the Physiatrist recommended that I see the Pain Clinic?!?
My Christmas present from my wife is....she still lets me live at home.....for now...
Hope things look up for you,...as you help out a lot of guys here on the site...so I think you are deserving of it for sure.
I wish you good luck...enjoy the presents.

I've been reading your posts since I joined this forum, and have enjoyed
your friendship as well for a few years....one thing that is extremely obvious,
you are very lucky to have found Susan as your life's mate and companion.
Like my wife Shirley, they are a real gem among the pretty stones.
Something you might consider, although it's probably not in your character,
is to have a chat with the News Media about your unjust experience with WCB.
It's sometimes amazing how governmental agencies change their tune when
confronted by the public via news exposure, especially with an election looming.

To set the record straight, all WCB is paid for by the employer, not the employee.

Regardless, legitimate claims should be handled quickly and easily for the claimant. The inconsistency of WCB is alarming, and indicates to me that there is a significant problem with the bureaucracy.

Too bad about WCB. On the bright side, cool shooting sticks! Which one did she get you? Mono, bi or tripod?

Isn't it Worksafe now.... As they try to get out of the compensation part of it

It is wcb's (Worksafe) priority to screw anyone out of services or moneys in order to save save save!. I's a shame it has come to that. Them and EI is just pathetic. Run like a cut throat bidness and not a SERVICE in which it is...supposed to be. Ya merry xmas on and F&*#ing all.

Is the denial of your claim related to your employers stance: eg. ... that it didn't happen at work?
I believe that some employers deny that a workers injury happened at work. Does a claim increase an employers WCB premium?
Just don't know how this all works.

Your wife sounds like a gem .....
Best of luck to you ...

Maybe because the employer pays not the employee is why WCB goes to bat more for the guy handing him the cash?I injured my back a few years ago and because I did'nt fill out a first aid report until the following day claim denied! The whole worksafe thing is a farce and a derelic system IMO. Oh yes good luck steven you got a keeper there in Susan!

No employer acknowledges the incident, just wcb sitting on ass protecting their money rather than dealing with injured workers.
Hmm two seperate wcat hearings determained my injuries were work related.no appeal allowed..wcb thinks that because im resigned because I cant work as Paramedic any more because of work placed injuries..doesnt mean im entitled to wage loss! WTH? Same with hip going out due to both knees shot requiring replacing..changing gait..coincidencd...denying pre surgical physio to get knees ready for replacement..
They have done nothing on my behalf in 5 years..sold boat, sold atv trailer, sold shotgun...some great deals coming up,? Lol
We will get through it no matter what...
And yes I was blessed and kissed by angels when I met and married Susan.
So lets get ready fo hunting season...slowly hip is getting better..should see first new knee late feb?
Cheers

She's away, but will post or pm you some info...if it helps??

Could weight be an issue with WCB? My neighbour was denied compo because he was considered to be quite a bit over weight and they said that was the cause of his knee/hip deterioration.

Carrying extra weight increases stress on the joints. A force of 3 to 6 times total body weight is exerted across your knee when you walk. Being just 10 lbs. overweight increases the force on your knee by 30-60 lbs. with each step. The force exerted across your hip is up to 3 times your body weight.

Hmmm Susan and I will be fine..the wcat did provide a small yearly pension till age 65...but far from wage loss.
Lets concentrate on great spouses. .and new technology..the shooting sticks are awesome .
Will try them out soon.
Weight was never an issue..as it was a fall accident. .

did u get the bipod or tripod style??
I've been interested in the tripod version.
I been trying to decide whether to get the primos or the bog pod.
I really like the primos with the quick trigger feature, as the legs self adjust that way to the terrain, even if each leg ends up in different positions.
The thing that I like with the bog pods, is the version that goes all the way to 6" from the ground, and just up to a sit on your ass position.
Which makes that less cumbersome to pack all day.
If I just had a blind or a sit and wait spot etc, definitely primos.
But, hiking all day, makes me like the lighter bog pod.....
But how often do you need a tripod be on the ground and properly adjusted in just a few seconds...it's happened a lot...
I have just been lucky that the game is so close, that free standing has worked out for me...but this shoulder problem is making me look at these shooting sticks as well.
What I do know, it won't be a Christmas present:confused:...

Feel sorry for ya srupp. I have chronic pain as well from a work injury. WCB never accounts for chronic pain. In my case they wouldn't let me see a specialist for over a year and forced me to go back to work. Luckily my boss told them that I should not be at work limping and in pain like I was. Then they let me see a specialist and Wadda ya know. The first thing the specialist said when he saw my mri was. How have you been functioning for so long you should have had surgery a couple weeks after your accident. It's to bad so many people ruine the system for the people who actually need it.

You can take your case to arbitration....the flunkies at WCB don't get the last say on your claim.

Shockey likes them...no guff..lol

5 wimpy stitches and a $288 bill reminds me to always say "NO, it never happened at work"

I could go on and on about WCB and ICBC milkers but it's a waste of time.

Too bad they won't be accountable Syrup, but the honest guy aways gets the shaft in this day and age.......

As far as shooting sticks go, it's hard to beat a GM OEM mirror or hood!
Tried a pool cue one time, and no good(more accurate freehand), need at least 2 points of contact, 3 would be best.

Anyways, whatever you get, practice a bit with them. Sticks still don't compensate for no practice.
