View Full Version : Unexpected critter on cam
Though we expect to see a few does and a couple little bucks eating in the apple orchard, we got a pic of what I think is a little black bear. But one friend put the idea out that it was a possible feral pig. We didnt see any bear crap, but it is a old apple orchard with 3 foot high grass. Dogs have been freakin out at last few nights. Any opinions? *notice the eyes glowing in the background

I'd say bear, maybe the eye's are it's cub?
The eyes are coming from cam2 tree. But nothing on cam2 that night. Maybe that doe or Lil buck watching? Gonna move cams to posts that face towards trees

Eyes too close together for a deer? Cub or other small predator?

I believe you have a Racoon!
My bet is a bear. If you look at the single piece of grass in both frames and then compare the size of the deer and mystery animal, I would say bear...maybe a smaller sow.

Clearly you have captured the elusive Samsquatch on camera....lucky he didn't take the camera.

Italian maybe?
I like the idea of the eyes being too close together for it to be a deer. Im going to change how the cams are positioned either tonight or tomorrow when i set the blind out. Maybe get better pics of whos scaring the deer away lol
