Does anyone know how far into 5-12 you can get past Kyacuz Lake. I heard the mine has the road gated and we are heading there for our draw so any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Past Kayakuz about 20 to 25 km......unless it has been blocked of since the end of May. That region has minimal road access.

I would be interested to hear of anyones experiences in 5-12a or 5-12b. You don't see a lot of posts on that area. Why? Been up there a couple times for moose. We were unsuccessful but the sign doesn't lie...they're there...somewhere.

You may want to make friends at Redstone, but that might be tough though.

MU 5-12
Chilcotin West

-- Access from Hwy 20 via system of roads east from Anahim Lake, also by a road north from Anahim Lake along the Dean River, then east past Eliguck Lake. From Chilanko Forks on Hwy 20, another road system penetrates the southeastern portion. Just east of Redstone, in MU 5-13, a road running northwest connects with the Chilanko Forks road. Fair deer and moose hunting; good in northern portion but access diffy cult. Check with Hunting Regs -- and LEH opportunity
Check all terrain vehicle rules for this area
Jel -- from an old Hunting Guide book, but hey some roads to go on -- have a great hunt in 5-12 --
