Deer Calls

So does everyone generally use deer calls? If so how much of an effect would you say they have on ones chances of bringing a deer down?

after losing/wrecking my third deer call i gave up carrying one..listen to some audio and work on calling with your mouth/throat/cupped hands it's not as hard as you might think..mostly i only call a deer to stop it walking away just as i am about to shoot

Whitetails will come to a grunt .... some times they sneak right up to you and sometimes they come charging in looking for a fight . Depends on the buck and also the rut. I have found that Mulies are more likely to come to investigate as they are more curious therefore not as likely to attract a mature buck.
