Had an oppurtunity to check out the Sandon silver mine area by quad over the weekend. We went to the very top of Mount Payne, saw a nice two point mulie in the alpine. The mine shafts we found were all pumping ice cold air out of them, we could see our breath. I could see hanging some game in there. My question is does anybody hunt in the area and what is the elk population like? We didnt see any. thanks
