Greetings HBC. I was fortunate enough to get a bull moose draw in MU 3-33 for the Month of October. I have never been to the area but am going on some scouting trips soon. Any information on this hunt (as well as Mule deer hunting) is greatly appreciated. Especially interested to hear from others who have gotten this draw recently. From my early research on google earth it looks like there is some good moose terrain near the Hurley fsr. Would also love information on the condition of the bridge river fsr south of Downton lake. Private messages welcomed. Thanks for your input!

I would focus on the Hurley. Nole Mtn area. Top of the Hurley, drive past "moose meadows", big long straight section and then turn right at a small building on side of the Hurley. Driving from pemberton. There is a snowcat ski operation back there and some moose. Used to live in pemberton and have been back there a bunch. Gatehouse can certainly help you out too.

Thanks Blacktail 270. Looks as though there is some prime moose habitat off the Hurley.

When its hot I'm thinking the bulls will be at higher elevations and shaded slopes as long as cows are in the area. Can anyone confirm this theory?

Pm me what dates you plan on heading out. I can give you some info. My schedule is pretty flexible so might be able to tag along with you too, if you want some company.

You might also want to bring up a set of Chains too as the Hurley can get pretty Hairy when the snow accumulates.
Don't what to hurl when going over the Hurly haha.

rather than starting a new thread i thought i'd revive this one. Me and some buddies drew this same tag this year. we have 2 tags for 3-33 from Oct 1- Oct 31. hoping to get some offers of help since we don't know the area super well. this thread already has lots of usefull info in it
