I priced out drop off by horseback. He wants a 10 day minimum hunt. So 3500 per person. Is there a cheaper way to do this?

Charter a float plane from Dease Lake or Watson lake considerably cheaper.

For 3500/guy you can fly in everything you own. We usually fly in for less than $1k per person

Seems pretty steep for 2 guys. You could do one hell of a fly in for that kind of money.

And a relocation trip, if the hunting sucks at the 1st lake.

A fully supplied hunt with Steamboat Mountain Outfitters is only $350 per day, so for 10 days is $3500. We are also offering, for the first time this year, an Oct drop off for moose/elk for $2000 per person. So for as many days as you want.

Thank you guys for your help. I am pricing out my options right now. I have been quoted 9.50 per mile plus hst to fly in.

Depends on what species you plan on hunting??
Not sure whats supplied in the fully supplied hunt, but the drop off might b better if you have the gear. I will take a horse hunt over a fly in anytime, with a flyin your somewhat limted to where you can shoot biggame, i know will come on say they shooot moose 10km away from the lake, have fun with that. Walking a horse to the killsite PRICELESS. Jmo
