Got lucky and the planning begins!

Can anyone with this previous draw give me any advice.

Weather considerations and transportation needs for this time of the year? I was in Ft St. John last year and decided to rent a vehicle and drive up because I knew I would hunt this one day but that was in September.....

I have a good ATV but wonder when the snow starts to fly?

I drove to end of the road / the gate to muskoka then turn around and drove up and around the pink mountain area. Thanks!!

Also, my prefered gun in the 270 150 grain but looks like I'll need something bigger for this hunt....

Was thinking of a .30-06 180

seems like this is the smallest I can use... thoughts?

Buy a 338 for the hunt once in a lifetime hunts deserve a new rig shoot the 210 ttsx or 250 nosler accubond

30-06 180 grain is a little light. It will do the job but shot placement becomes more critical. Check out online for the vital zone of a Bison, it is different from the deer family.

Mine Took 2 180gr tsx from my 300wm under 100yrds. Buffalo fell on ice and couldnt get up or it would have kept going. When we gutted it, one bullet went through the heart and the other one through the lungs. And i shot a small one lol.

If its Zone A...I have maps for sale that will make your hunt much more adventerous...a million times better than their silly maps they send you
