Deer hunting in 6-06?

Well, it looks like despite being skunked in my own draw choices, my buddies have invited me to join them for their 6-06 moose hunt.

Besides being chief scout, bottle washer, wood chopper, cook, dish washer, camp counselor, psychiatrist, gutter and skinner I might like to try finding a deer to shoot at while the boys hunt moose.


Any ideas where to look please?

I have hunted up there for the last 7 years, I have seen 4 does, I suspect if you get down near Hwy 16 you may find a few more. Did your buddies get a draw, if not and are going for the GOS it may be 4pt for deer (good luck with that).

There's no deer in that area. Just mythical stories of deer by the locals . Lots of Grizzlies and a lot of documented attracts of Grizzlies attacking fishermen and hunters.

BC Brad doesn't want you hunting that area! Dont worry about bears or else stop hunting.
