just want to wish all a safe, productive, and of course sucessful bear season. so...... this means bug dope time too. be very very VERY careful in spraying bug dope on around your bow. one it will eat the finish and two it will eat your bowstring. and i mean quick too. :o watch for deet in your bug dope. i see it every year on the hunting trail and more often on the 3-d course. just be careful and good luck all.

Also, don't test your broadheads on your string... I've seen it done once, guy got too excited and cut 1/2 his string.

Staked a bohemith blacky today, pushing dam close to the 7 ft. mark. Got within 30 yards of him and he didnt even know i was there. Could of dropped him right on the road. Would have been a nice one for the bow!

Too true! Truth is I wasnt even really bear hunting, more so shed hunting, we just saw the bear during the drive! I dont even really want to shoot a blackie unless it looks like a world record! But this would have been a very awesome bear to take with a bow, and so easy it would have been!!! Heck after I got bored at 30 yards I walked back to the vehicle and putted within 50 yards of him before he bolted! The GF is was to chicken to even get out of the vehicle!
