Real early this spring I posted to ask about when the ice would be off since we haven't visited your beautiful province to our west in about a decade and a half. Would've posted earlier but it just seems life get's in the way.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip. Checked out 10 different lakes and dropped the boat into 8 of them. (yes, I scrubbed the heck out of it with soap and water before we left AB, I'm anal about prep. ;) )
Got skunked on a few, caught some super feisty rainbows, and some smallmouth in others. Every lake we visited had at least one turkey hunter camping at to BS with. Everyone we met was as friendly as could be.

We saw deer, elk, moose, turkey, grouse, geese, everything we could hope to see. It froze every night which made for early nights and good sleeps but the weather couldn't have been better. On our way home rather than pack up camp and drive all day we decided to pack up camp the afternoon early and stay in Sparwood. Woke up to snow above where we were camping. Wife figure's that's the first time we ever packed up the
tent dry, haha!
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks, here's a couple pics.

Glad you enjoyed your trip, and you are welcome back any time. Liked the "Hey, I held it as close to the camera as wife would let me!" comment. Haha!
