So you know already that you have a draw or just trying for a spike? Congratulations. The area went from about 8 authorizations to 20-22 overnight. The strategy, whatever the hell it's supposed to be is working. There are few bulls to be seen or taken if the last couple of years are any indication.. The road network is limited in that MU, and the logging activity was fairly intense over the winter. Most decent camping spots are swallowed up right away at the beginning of October. Quads running all over. There are a few newly opened spots a bit North of the main road past the Raft FSR. A different alternative is to work from the Avola end South. The Avola Mtn FSR will take you all the way around and bring you back out on Road 9 to the main highway. About 120 k. Some lovely area to just sit and call. Lots of old deactivated spur roads. Look to Dennis Lake as a possible camp area. Who knows, you may get lucky.

thanks for the info .we usualy hunt west of Williams lake but I,ve got a son in swan hills who is gonna join me and his two brothers for a couple weeks and this area will make his commute a lot quicker.we aren't after hat racks just meat and the two weeks of strictly hiking and the adventure of it all.thanks again.
