Hello all. I am planning a moose hunt in Region 7 (west of PG) for this fall. My nephew, who is Canadian but is living in the US is going to accompany me. I am going to go through the process to obtain the Permit to Accompany as outlined in the regs so that everything is legal. That part is pretty straight forward. However, my nephew's son-in-law (who is an American) would like to come with us. My understanding is that he could be present with the hunting party but would not be allowed to hunt nor to carry a firearm. I called the CO service to ask for clarification but they haven't gotten back to me. Does this sound accurate?

Unless you travel unknowingly several kilometres into another province, territory or state. In which case you're good to go.

They're hunting moose... not sheep. Lol.
As everyone has said... You're good to go.
