Daybreak

I spend a lot of time up in the hills and try to get pics to share when I can. I definitely need to get a decent camera as I have missed a lot of great opportunities for photos for lack of a good camera. It is on my list for sure.
I recently watched a Mule doe with her fawn that was knee high to a grasshopper. He/she couldn't have been allowed to move about for more than a day or two... spindly and unsteady little legs. Watched the mother clean her rear presumably after a poop. Then noticed how the mother dialed her ears into me except she kept them both horizontal rather than vertical to keep her profile and visibility to a minimum. Off they went at a slow pace with the little one clambering behind her and every time it caught up it would sneak right in between her legs. Really neat to watch.
Also saw a wolf for the first time in this particular area, really grey coat and he wasn't hanging around. No time for a rifle let alone a camera. Saw a lot of MD however no antlers, bucks are being a bit elusive. Lots of water and bugs after some heavy rains however I don't think it will last long, heading for a twig snapping dry summer. Ant hills are going full bore so the BB's will be after them I'm sure.
I hope to make this a Sunday morning feature, (less thread starting) and will post pictures with a better camera soon.
