What is spine indexing ?

For best results, spine indexing is done on bare shafts. Each shaft is placed in the spine tester and measurements are taken completely around the whole shaft until the stiffest point is found, and then marked with a dot. Then when you're fletching your shafts, the dot is placed between the two hen-vanes, as most prefer, or if YOU prefer, the dot is placed in alignment with the cock-vane and fletched. Do this with all of your shafts to have a spine indexed matching set.

a great way to get lower end arrows to perform good

Upper end arrows(think ACE ACCs VAPs etc ...generally the $200 plus/doz bare) theres not a not a detectible differance
