Just wondering what people have found to be the better time of day to hunt grizzly bears? In the morning or afternoon?

Cheers,

Hmm first hour of the morning..dark 30.... for grizzly
Exact opposite for black bears..last hour of the day
Good luck..

ALL DAY if you want my opinion especially when they are on the move seen equal amount during morning as afternoons my favorite time is 1 pm to 4 pm being out there seems to do the trick for sure

Me too. All my black bears except one have been taken between 10:00 am and 3:00pm. I was out from 5:00 am till 5:00 pm today and all I saw was 3 piles of scat. One was huge mind you. It seems like they have moved down from the high country.

Hmmm now is when bears are indeed active all day..as they have had an attitude adjustment..
Gone from grass to ass .... its mating season gonna be pairs for the next few weeks..till season closure..
Hmm dont even hunt morning black bear..start at 3 or 4 pm..till last legal light..
I am not a morning person..but guiding or personal hunting...majority of g bears before 9 am...
Maybe we just got it done early..called it a day..and didnt need the rest? Seen grizzly bears all hours of day but most in low light conditions.
Not many black bears at first am light..bout 9 am? ..havnt morning hunted blackies in? 10 years ?
But if out hunting you can see bears at any time and you are ther......hunt...

Was out and saw one at 4 this afternoon, but too hot outside to shoot him...with the heat in the Okanagan on sunny days I'm surprised that they're not out only at dawn and dusk..

All day.

Earlier in the season they are up and down feeding. Best to be glassing the whole time to spot em and get 'em figured out. This time of year they will be covering miles looking for love.
