One of the best ways to get into sheep shape is to actually go scouting and practice your glassing and field judging skills.

Here are the results of a fun "get in sheep shape trip" -nothing too fancy ... I had to zoom and crop many shots off the spotting scope.

There's nothing worse than being on a bighorn sheep hunt and you're waffling over a bighorn ram in your spotter as to whether he is legal or not. All because you have not seen many live bighorn rams.

Thought it was easier to put up a quick show than post pictures individually on here.

Cool Picture Show!

Unless I get a sheep draw this year I don't know if I'll need to be in Sheep Shape... But I'm definitely working on some Muley Muscle...

Guys - don't listen to SSS ........ I personally wouldn't waste my time at Spences. That herd can actually benefit with a decrease in hunting pressure for a few years.

I wouldn't waste my time at Spences

Good one less pair of binos scanning the hills. Now if I could find out a way to get the other 40-50 pairs of binos out of there, I may get to shoot a ram in there.

Kitamat - You will probably have a chance at a bigger ram than any of the ones shown if you have the right people helping you on your hunt.

Nice pictures big rockies with lots of mass. It's alway good to keep what a good ram looks like in your mind. I have a Nickname for Spences over the years, I call it the "ZOO" especially around Big Horn but fun hunting even though. If there are too many guys around I always go Chukar Hunting in the afternoon.
