I have been looking over the 2015 - 2016 LEH Synopsis and noticed that on pg 17, Map 3B, MU 3-12 is shown as extending to the south side of highway 97C. The Provincial Gov. MU overlay in google earth shows the same thing.

I was under the impression that when 97C was constructed back in the late 80's that 3-12 was adjusted to remain solely on the northern side of the highway. The area I am questioning is only a small peninsula however I am curious if the mapping has not been updated or I am wrong in thinking 3-12 was adjusted. Anyone have a definitive answer?

Will look for an answer, as I too was under the impression that 3-12 was adjusted to reflect the "new" hwy.

Trying to remember where/when I heard/read that "adjustment" happening...

Maybe have a look at this map.
Painful to zoom in, but I'm seeing this as 3-12 matching 97C??

Yah, that map definitely shows 97C as being the border, 3-12 does not extend to the south side of it in that map. I always question the maps that are included in the regs and the synopsis as they seem to use the most obscure landmarks. If your map is correct, why are they still reproducing misleading ones I wonder. I realize the onus is on the hunter to know the areas however it would be helpful if the maps they print were up to date and used more recognizable landmarks.

I've always considered south of the Connector to be in 8....but now I'm thinking a stop at the CO office in Merritt might be in order just to be sure???

Even a phone call would sort it out I'm sure. I need to remember to ask next time I run into a CO. Nice to get it from a reliable source.

If I get a chance I'll call this week from work, and if I get through I'll post the response.....and I'm always sure to get a name of who I talked to.
