I can't thank Shaun Allison enough for the way our family adventure was set up and executed. Lloyd And Jules Ferguson have a beautiful home and property with the Oxbow Lodge, and are excellent hosts. Jules has a passion and talent for cooking exceptional meals.
I would love to visit NZ again, see more of the country, and try for Tahr and Chamois again in May or June, for a different mountain hunt.
I can definitely recommend EANZ and Shaun, for an excellent trip on the South Island.

Awesome pics, I've been dreaming about NZ for a while, seems like something you'd wanna spend a month or more....How long did you go for and what were the costs?

thxs for the pics and sharing. priceless memories.
I worked in NZ about 20 years ago and loved it. I've worked a few places overseas, but NZ was the only place I worked that I would actually love to live at or consider relocating to sometime in life. people and country are great as you mentioned. cost of living is a bit high but everything about NZ makes up for it. would love to get back there again sometime and I'm sure I will. I bet you will too now that you've experienced it.
have a good one,
bigD.

E.D.
Have a look at part one, lists length of trip. Have a look at EANZ website link in part one, shows costs in $USD. My trip was a modified combo of a red stag hunt, and a mountain hunt. Airfare FSJ to Queenstown was approx. $2200 CDN/seat.

I ran into Brice Folden ( Wild TV) in the airport in Vancouver, this was his third trip over. He also mentioned, if he ever was to live somewhere other than Canada, NZ was the place.
Now I totally understand why, amazing place filled with wonderful people.

I've always had a fondness for Kiwis. I think they share a relationship with Australia like we have with the US and it helps define them as proud and independent.

Love the terrain too, would love to get over that way. Summer and fall in Canada then summer and fall in NZ sounds like a pretty good plan.

Great pics, thanks for sharing!

Shaun has a pretty good plan, NZ living, NZ hunting season Roughly March- July, then over to Idaho to work for an outfitter, August to November.

I'm envious.
