Anyone else have their PAL renewal taking longer than 45 days? Mine still hasn't been completed. :icon_frow

Hey lucky1,
Call the BC Chief Firearms officer. She wont send it till you call and ask about it. You get connected via the Feds. Call them first and ask about it they will ask you if you want to speak to the BC CFO.
Good Luck.

Mine took almost six months because I accidentally switched the order of my full first names around. (my parents gave me three) They never notified my about why it was taking so long.

My NDP MP Libby Davies helped sort it out.

I called the CFO contact number today. The man who answered said that my wait time was within the normal period it takes. He said to call them back if I haven't heard anything by June. I explained that my PAL expires in May and he told me to keep my guns locked up at home and not use them until my new PAL arrives.

Mine expires in the middle of hunting season. I hope for their sake they don't delay my renewal and try to palm me off with the same excuse!

Call the ombudsman any time they screw you around. There is no excuse for it. Apparently calling the ombudsman works wonders when they're dragging their heels.

Telling a person they may not use their lawfully owned property because they don't want to do their job in a timely fashion is unacceptable.

Just got my renewed PAL back a week ago. It took less than 10 days in total. But I used electronic format to submit the application. London Drugs makes required format of photo.

Mine took a very, very long time to renew. I finally called my MP, and after that things started moving. My advice would be to call your MP now.

Did mine online 3 weeks ago. I had it back in my hands in 6 days including the weekend! I'm not very computer savvy and it wasn't that hard,,,,, way better than 1-6 months the old fashioned way

I submitted mine in April and I called the BC CFO and they said they are busy and cannot even give me an answer. Mine expired in just now and I have been told to not touch my firearms. I love the service.
