I came across an interesting term in a news story about the Tories streamlined gun legislation: "MP Robert Sopuck, the chair of the Conservative hunting and angling caucus...”

The Conservative Hunting and Angling caucus is a real thing. It's got a FB page (https://www.facebook.com/conservativehuntingandangling) and a small webpage (http://www.conservative.ca/cpc/hunting-and-angling-caucus/).
It could be that I'm in the dark but I can't say I'd ever heard of this caucus before. I also realize that it's federal, not provincial, and our hunting issues are mostly provincial, but I was encouraged that at least one group of disreputable rascals has identified hunters and anglers as an important vote source. Hopefully the work that was and is being done as a result of the allocation issue will create the same sort of awareness provincially among whoever happens to be holding the reins of power.
