I am not overly interested in dolling out $2000 for a big grizzly bear rug, but would love a well done skull mount. I am stupid excited to go out to chase one of these critters, but feel if I am going to do this, that I really should save the hide, even if it is not for me. A thread earlier had me questioning whether I am allowed to sell the hide. So am I??

Depending on he size of the bear, tanning can run you $350-450. Hang it on the peg board.

Just tan it if you don't want to do a rug. I am sure you can sell it as well??

Legal to sell as far as I know but must provide the licences number, tag number and CI....don't quote me on that for griz though....only ever sold a goat cape.
personally I would never sell a griz hide, never know If you will get the opportunity again if the government changes...$400 or so to tan as a throw.

I have rugs I'd sell, but nobody wants to buy somebody else's mounts.

Really? Any tips on where to look for buyers? I wouldn't know where to start looking for a US buyer
