I spotted this bear at one of my fav. hunting areas. It was about over 300 yards from where I was standing. I started to follow it for about another 100yards. I took 2 shots with a 7MM WSM with 140Grain Ballistic Tip. And then he was down.

Congrats, that is a beautiful bear, nice coloring, should square well over 7 feet.

I think so that's the bear I saw in boston bar last May but I missed it,is there any wounded on him ?LOL..... Congrats!!!!

He would be splitting 5' and 5'6" maybe around 5'2 or 5'3

Took a look at the pics again and with the shooter being 5ft 5 I would agree with Kirby's assesment. I would shoot him. Nice bear again.

awesome. congrats, I'm still waiting to get my first bear.

Was out yesterday and it's pretty mucky in the south Okanagan up top.
Going out again tomorrow, but have to stay to the main roads or hike in.

Congrats on getting one so early.
