I'm up here for work for the weekend, so I won't get too much time to wet a line but I'd like to try. Anywhere close that I can shore fish with a trout rod with 4 lb line on it? Charlie lake my option? I'm guessing I don't have enough rod for the Peace. TIA!

Charlie Lake, Rotary or Beatton parks were good to me. Plenty of pike and walleye. I used spoons.

Boundary Lake is nice too if you're out that way.

No idea. Might get a chance to look tomorrow. A few of the lakes on the way up were clear but I don't know how deep they were.

I'll look for some quiet back waters on the peace if Charlie is still locked up I guess.

Ice won't be off for a couple weeks

River boaters are catching some nice Bull trout and Lakers out of the Peace right now

Sounds good. Thanks for the help guys. I'll plan to walk the peace a bit and see what I can come up with. I ought to know by now to go all or nothing. Wish I had my 9' rod but I'll make do.

Down by the bridge between Flatrock/Clayhurst and Rolla it's shallow enough to drive a pickup fairly far in and fish out of your box if you're nimble enough. North riverbank.

If you're going to fish the Peace, I'd head towards Hudson's Hope upstream of where the Halfway River flows into the Peace. Downstream of the Halfway is often quite muddy compared to above it.

^ I'm on a work trip, not a fishing trip unfortunately. Just trying to fit a bit of fishing in when I get a spare hour ect so not enough time to do much driving. I popped up to Charlie to see if I could find somewhere to get a line in. Found a bit of open water by the dam but it was quiet, not surprisingly. Then tried to find a way to the peace at the edge of town but it was all private land. I'll try by the bridge south of town next chance I get. See if I can find a grayling. Never caught one before so that would be a win for the trip.

Thanks again for all the help guys!
