1999 ford explorer 4 wd

I am wondering if 1999 ford explorer original tire size is 235 x75x 15 ( No lifted ) if I change 31 x10.5 x15 on it if it is too big ? Any help would be appreciated,Thanks a lot !!

If it's a 99, I think they came standard with 255 75 16. Check the door post for factory specs.
Unless it's sagged out 31 should work.

could always crank the torsion bars to get a little extra clearance as well

I've had that size tire on a few non lifted vehicles, they fit fine, it'll depend on whether your suspension is all saggy though.
right now I've got 31x10.5x15 on an xterra I'd imagine with being a little bigger the explorer shouldn't have an issue with room.
